Winter Craziness

Roleystone Children's yoga workshop.

This winter break has been one huge and wonderful two weeks for us Rainbows. With Three amazing winter workshops a magical Rainbow Yogis Birthday party and a very special road trip.

Milly and her guitarIn the first week of the school holidays Rainbow Yogis and Eco Faeries Faerie Cara and Tribal Earth Faerie Milly held hands together to create a beautiful Magic of Winter workshop for little earth warriors.

We opened our circle with open hearts, beautiful chanting and guitar from Milly as I played my djembe, a very special moment in time.

A fresh morning walk through the bush lead by Faerie Cara followed by a winter warming Rainbow Yogis session.

The children then created some very creative winter snow globes.

Rainbow Yogis second workshop was held up in the Perth Hills with local artist Larissa from Soulfelt Threads.

After a very colourful group of yogis enjoyed some hilarious laughing yoga and an exciting eco yoga adventure it was off to art tables to create some nature art.

Here is our article that the local magazine had published the fun we had.

Now it was time for family Rainbow to head down south for our travelling yogi show. Off to Bridgetown we drove with yoga mats, face paint, bubbles and costumes in tow.

With a huge turnout of 37 little yogis who danced, laughed, played, stretched and smiled there way to the biggest rainbow in my heart as the storm came crashing in overhead. These little yoga friends were the rainbow after the storm.

With local Artist Vicki Baker and faerie assistant Jessica together we created a magical day of yoga and the most amazing mandala art I have ever seen! With cinnamon scented dough and seed mandalas, string weaving mandalas and design your own mandala there were many creative busy bees and butterflies.

Now it was off to our Special place! A place where Family Rainbow come together to connect with mother earth, be still, feel loved and meditate.

A peaceful forest in the little town of Balingup. This special place gives us as a family time to let go , breathe and open our hearts for new beginnings. This forest has brought tears of joy and love just from the pure beauty and peace of it. The whispers of the trees, the sparkles of dewdrops on the leaves or the shining sun showers through the tall trees.

We keep this place, the smells, the sights and the sounds locked in our memories to go back to when we need to feel grounded or happy or connected or peaceful and centred again. We simply just close our eyes, breathe in deep and remember. A little place of our own where we can start again. Sometimes we draw pictures or take photos of our special place to hang on our walls when we have trouble visualising it.

Does your family have there very own special place?
