Winter Yoga Challenge! Ignite The Fire Within!

And its time for another Rainbow Yogis Yoga Challenge.

The days are colder and shorter, the nights are longer, darkness is upon us and we start to slow down.

It’s the perfect time to relight that inner fire and keep it burning.

Agni plays a crucial role this time of year for your health and wellbeing. It is important to keep the fire burning and nurture your inner fire
Making conscious choices through winter to help improve your digestion and ultimately your daily experiences will help nurture the flow of life’s energy.
Keep things simple, declutter, make conscious eating choices, detox, exercise and meditate and be gentle with yourself, practice self love. These are all small positive acts of wellness.

“It always comes back to just letting go with love. Just put the love in it. Whatever it is, and if you can’t put love in it, don’t do it!”~Bhagavan Das

To help keep the fire burning in our bellies over winter, I have put together a fun and energetic Winter Yoga Challenge.

Warrior Yoga Winter Yoga Challenge
Lets get our yoga on.

The idea of this challenge is to find at least 20 minutes a day (Ideally an hour) to get on your mat, weather it be for just a few breathes and a smile, a few sun salutes, or an entire yoga practice.
This challenge was set up to help you feel focussed, motivated and supported. Winter is a hard time of year, we tend to want to stay in one spot and not move. So lets help each other keep our energies flowing throughout the cold, lets keep the fire burning.
Here are our four stages to help keep us focussed and motivated.

Week One: Mindfulness
Week Two: Warm up
Week Three: Ignite the fire (Agne)
Week Four: Fuelling the fire

What you will need:

A printable calendar will be available for you all to have close by. This way you can stay focussed and in tune with the days and challenges.
A yoga journal to document your journey and to practice your Grateful Project /2012/10/the-grateful-project/ We will also be using these journals as visual diaries for mandalas and affirmations.

A yoga mat or comfortable place to do yoga.

Please stay posted every week via facebook, or my website for updates and inspiration.

This event page is open to everyone to share with us photos and ideas to help us create a community.
