Screen Free Week

This week is International Screen Free Week where we switch off our TVs and handheld gaming devices, and try to minimise the use of our smart phones and computers to the bare essentials.

We believe having our heads down, buried in electronic devices and hand held games that our children are becoming slowely disconnected with themselves and the natural world around them. By switching off to screens and pledging your screen free week, you will be switching on to life!

Coming back to the real world to explore, adventure, create and to spend precious time with your family and friends, you will start to become mindful of the amount of time you spend on screens in the future.

We have been pretty excited to start coming up with fun ideas to do during the times we would have usually been playing or watching screens.

Here is what we have been up to so far.

Body painting our friends, making a geodesic dome out of toothpicks, roasting marshmallows and chestnuts on an open fire, flower arranging, finger painting, creating wands.

And of course Yoga!

Good luck and enjoy your week!
