Lion Pose and Laughter!

On the second day of Solstice, Yoga gave to me…..

A belly laugh and lion pose!

Today we will step outside of this stressful time of year, call on the divine forces of laughter, belly laugh and giggle in those hard moments.  Take a deep breathe when the going gets too much, and let out a huge, loud, joyous laugh. Laugh away those frustrations.

Look at your little yogis during this time and enjoy the sweet innocence of their joy, laugh with them during lion pose.

Laughter is contagious and healing.

Lion Pose

Come to kneeling on your knees opposite your little yoga and press your palms down into the ground to get that good healing earth energy to run through your body.

Look into each others eyes with a smile and love.

Inhale together, open your mouth, stick out your tongue and breathe out an almighty ARRRRGH! A lion’s roar!

Now laugh, as you naturally will.  It won’t be hard but even faking laughter is extremely beneficial.  Your body doesn’t know the difference!

Enjoy this moment of letting go and laughing together.

Have fun and if you need some extra laughing ideas and joy to open your heart, check out Peter Shupp’s laughter yoga sessions and tips at the Indian Ocean Laughter Club, or if your workmates need a bit of a boost, he also does laughter yoga sessions for companies and private organizations! It’s a hoot!!  😀
